Overview

Location: Newcastle (Hybrid working)

Working hours: 37.5; Monday and Friday: 09:00-17:00

Salary: £27,300- £29,400 (dependent upon experience)

 

We are on the hunt for an ‘Accounts Payable Supervisor' to come and join our well established team with a hybrid role. If you are based in the North East, we would love to hear from you. 

 

Supporting a team of three Accounts Payable Clerks, you will play a critical role in the accurate recording of supplier invoices and timely payments in accordance with our Lookers’ policies. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely registration of invoices into ADP to be authorised in line with the authority matric, also the passing of invoices
  • Ensuring timely payment runs and being the main point of contact for supplier queries
  • Ensuring accurate recovery of input VAT
  • Ability to drive adherence to our Purchase Order process
  • Managing the invoice authorisation process
  • Maintaining timely closure of purchase ledger at month end in accordance with management accounts deadlines
  • Reviewing aged creditors
  • Playing a core role in the development of future system improvements
  • Management of accounts payable team, which incorporates performance management and review, annual appraisals and one-to-one review

Qualifications

We are on the hunt for an individual who has prior supervisor experience within the field of Purchase Ledger. Do you have more general finance management experience? We would still love to hear from you! It is essential that you’re able to demonstrate top tier people and team management skills.

 

In this role excellent communication and organisational skills are a must, we are also looking for an individual who is naturally analytical and can show excellent attention to detail. Not forgetting strong commercial acumen and customer focus too.
