Hours: Monday - Friday 08:30-18:00 (with one day off) Saturday 08:30-17:00 Sunday 10:00- 16:00 one in three

 

General Manager (Incorporating Used Car Sales Manager Role)

We are looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead our dynamic team at a motor retail site with significant development opportunities. This unique opportunity combines the responsibilities of a General Manager with the operational focus of a Used Car Sales Manager, making it ideal for a driven professional ready to take on a multifaceted role in the premium automotive sector.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth, improve operational efficiency, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Inspire and lead a highly motivated team, fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring each member reaches their full potential.
  • Sales Management: Oversee used car sales operations, drive transactional sales, and deliver exceptional customer service experiences.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance against budget, identify and address shortfalls promptly, and ensure profitability. Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the seamless day-to-day running of the site, upholding company standards and achieving key performance indicators.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a strong understanding of finance and insurance product regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Customer Relations: Leverage excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence and secure sales while enhancing customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Automotive Experience: Prior experience in a premium automotive environment.
  • Sales & Customer Service Expertise: A proven track record of success in transactional sales and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong experience managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
