Overview

Location: Remote (based within the north)

Working hours: 37.5; Monday- Friday: 09:00- 17:30

Salary: £36,750; OTE £60,000 plus Company Car.

Nathan Wynne (Head of Business Development) is on the hunt for a ‘Senior Development Manager (North)’ to come and join his team within a remote contract. Candidates must be based in the North of the England and be willing to travel extensively to cover their designated territory. A company car will be supplied, and overnight stays will be required to optimise customer visits.

Interested in a role where you have full autonomy over your desk? Within this role you will have the opportunity to manage and develop your region whilst ensuring both individual customer and regional sales targets are being met on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Your role will also involve signing up new independent rental company customers and managing the existing customer network to maximise sales opportunities.  

Responsibilities:

  • Grow your customer base by prospecting within your region and identifying established and credit worthy independent rental companies that fulfil the VRS credit and other joining criteria
  • Contact, visit and build strong relationships with existing customers to maximum sales opportunities
  • Provide quotations and where possible sell available VRS stock for OP orders. When required vehicles are not in VRS stock, agree factory orders and source required vehicles from dealer stock
  • Develop close relationships and communication with customers to assist in the event of payment or operational defaults
  • Complete reports on a weekly basis; these incorporate the likes of a ‘New Prospect Report’ and ‘Sales Analysis report’
  • Attendance of regular meetings such as sales meetings as well as those with core customers

 

Requirements:

We are on the hunt for an individual who already operates within a sales role within the Account Management space. Existing rental knowledge would be beneficial.

Within this role lots of travel will be required within the North of the UK, therefore we are looking for an individual who isn’t afraid to get out on the road. It is therefore essential that you hold a full UK driving licence.

Due to the nature of the role, we are on the hunt for a self-starter who is really committed to enhancing business penetration and driving sales. Excellent communication abilities are a must, which will ensure you provide top-tier customer service as well as building long lasting relationships with our customers and prospects.  We are also looking for an individual who has problem solving abilities, could you take a pro-active approach to minimise VRS credit exposure?
